Episode 48 – Gabz Sunflower Ciofani

Sunflower PowerHour (more commonly known as “Gabz”) is the woman behind the bands “Names in Constellations” and “The Casually Acclaimed.” She has been inspired by sound since she was a small sprout, learning to harmonize with her sisters and mother via the tape deck on car trips as a small flower child. She has enjoyed using her voice for proactive endeavors for the past 30+ years, and with a Masters in Teaching from Western Oregon University, Sunflower PowerHour now embarks upon a passion project where she is teaching reading lessons through her original songs. Her main emphasis is on increasing adult literacy through the utilization of the inherently catchy nature of her sound. Self-dubbed “The Queen of the Love Song” and “The Hit Factory,” Sunflower PowerHour is on a mission to stand in the sunlight and share warmth wherever she goes. Her second children’s book, “Martha Mantis Missed This,” is set to be released in June of 2021. <Or something…hahahah>
